Choosing a Chemical, Toxic-Free Household

So, this may be a debatable topic as to if all natural, non-toxic, chemical free household cleaning products do the same work, and I am here to tell you they most definitely do!!

I have fallen in love with some simple formula products, that rid the same bacteria and leave the house as sparkly clean as some of the harsh chemical products do.  It did not take me long to make the switch over to mostly.. ALL non toxic, chemical free household cleaning products.

I may have learned this the hard way by using harsh chemicals and products with strong fumes, that almost knocked me to the ground after scrubbing my life away on our upstairs bathroom shower, toilet, sinks, and tub.

One night after scrubbing and scrubbing, I realized how horrible I felt afterwards.  I ended up having to sit down and open up some of the windows in the house to air the space out. I felt dizzy and like I couldn’t breathe.

Then I thought about how horrible it was to be breathing in those chemicals, and risking having the chemicals rub off on my skin .. or WORSE, stepping or touching the chemicals and trekking them through our entire house. 

In the future when we have a pet or small children in the house, I definitely would not want to run the risk of having chemicals on the floor after cleaning, and then having a child crawl or a pet walk all over the chemicals and then touch their face or their mouths and be exposed to the harsh toxic chemicals that could make them sick or cause harm.

After thinking about the different products I was really using..it dawned on me that after using chemicals such as Oxyclean foaming bleach, CLR, tile cleaners and scrubs — that it was time to move to something natural and non-toxic. No brainer in my book!  But I was a little hesitant as to if they could provide the same sanitation as the other more chemical based, well known brands..

So I slowly began to research and replace my supply with non toxic options, and have found a great selection and alternatives that work just as well and still kill 99.9% of household bacteria.
